Este es nuestro tercer artículo sobre el libro "When racing was racing", en el que se pueden encontrar muchas cosas curiosas.

"When racing was racing" contiene mucha información sobre la historia del turf británico y algo que no podremos encontrar en ninguna otra publicación : sus innumerables fotografías de momentos inolvidables, anécdotas y datos curiosos que solo han podido ser recogidos por los reporteros y fotógrafos del Daily Mirror durante muchas décadas de turf.

When his son, David, was very young, he demonstrated his ability to design hats and, at the age of 12, designed his first hat for his mother. She wore it in Ascot in 1966, surprising the sober fans of the time and, in addition, it became the cover of all the evening newspapers. That was the beginning of more than 30 years of appearances in Ascot, appearances as extravagant as expected.
